“The fancy dress party on Saturday night was the best night for me. Our little group had a meal before hand in the Italian restaurant in fancy dress. Everyone were looking at us, don't know why. It was fun and could be a suggestion for other people to do.”
“Our chalet was one of the new refurbished ones, which was brill. The red squirrels coming begging at the back door for nuts was just brill. The parties on Friday and Saturday nights were also brill. Even though we got drenched with the snow doing the treasure hunt we still thought it was brill. The whole weekend was just brill.”

I think I would put my walking boots on next time to give you a bit more support as some of the areas were a bit rocky, I think that would have been better than trainers but that is just a personal thing.”

“This event could not be improved. The co-ordinator was one of the most friendliest and helpful I have so far experienced. The meal was excellent value for money and the disco was over good too. The staff at the hotel were exemplary - there was one occasion when I was talking to a colleague and there was a waiter stood behind her waiting to clear her plate away - I noticed that he stood there for probably a minute or so and waited for the conversation to finish before clearing her plate - that's what I call service. A great night.”

Harrogate Turkish Baths 19/5/07
“The Harrogate Turkish Baths are evocative of a bygone era, everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime. The mosaics and painted plaster work make them a visual feast and that's in addition to the deep feeling of relaxation and wellbeing engendered by a Turkish Baths session, which is conducive to some good socialising; I don't think I've talked to so many fellow Spicers at an event before.”
“This was a lovely event, the Turkish Baths are beautiful, we spent a lovely 3 hours in the baths and had time for dinner together afterwards. Great company in lovely surroundings with a nice mixed group of people. (The Jazz bar in Harrogate was a great end to the evening (must make sure I'm not driving next time))”

“I went to the Poker Evening totally clueless, I ended up on the ‘Losers’ Table having lost all my chips and in debt to the banker but had great fun. It’s a good evening for new members as there are 3 tables of 8, so it was easy to chat and meet new people. The game was well explained and it was a very pleasant and easy evening.”
