XMAS PRESSIES: The programme has a very festive & wintry feel to it this month. It’s almost tempting me to start thinking about Xmas shopping. A superb present idea is our new ‘Spice in a box’ presents – what better gift to give to a friend? If your friend’s already in Spice why not buy them a surprise event or even just a monetary amount of vouchers. Remember you can buy gifts for your friends around the UK from any Spice group. We have a special gifts page in this month’s newsletter to give you a few ideas.

LOCAL PROGRAMME: This month as well as our plethora of parties we have lots other Xmas events to get you in the mood including ice skating at Huddersfield piazza, the ice slide at Xscape, last years favourite the winter adventure where you get to try Nordic skiing around the enchanted maze or why not try our newest adventure event; husky sledding up in Scarborough. As there are lots of parties we’ve added a fun secret Santa twist of a foodie type to our dinner shuffles and we’re running our curry clubs between Xmas & New Year as a break form all the turkey. We’re being pushed to firm up numbers for some of our Xmas parties especially the Prom in Sheffield so please book these early if you’d like to join us or we may have given the slots back. The Xmas & New Year breaks are all looking not far off full as I type this. We have started to introduce some of the new weekends for 2009 too in this edition including our annual dance weekend at Blackpool & a new 60s party weekend at Butlins.

Our bookings have been particularly busy over Sept & Oct with some very active new members joining us recently so please book early so that you won’t be disappointed.

OVERSEAS NEWS: This quarter sees your edition of the Live iT holiday supplement with some amazing new holidays in including a Spitzbergen adventure, a Mongolian adventure, 3 different new chill out holidays, 2009’s summer Mark Warner trip, Dubai & Hong Kong, more walking holidays, which are always popular, a chance to see the solar eclipse in China & closer to home a River Thames cruise. I’m away quite a bit of November on the Spice Caribbean watersports holiday which I know we have quite a few Yorkshire members on too. We’ll raise a rum punch to you as you plan next year’s holidays.

Just room to remind you that our 100,000th member competition is still running across November & you will also be entered if you recommend anyone to join Spice. Full details inside your newsletter.

Hopefully all your favourite events are here as usual in the newsletter & maybe the odd new one or two. I hope to see as many of you as possible out on the Yorkshire events over the next month & look forward to sharing lots of fun with you all
