The desire to do something a little out of the ordinary, is in all of us don't you think? But it is very seldom achieved - how many times have you said "I would love to have a go at that BUT..."? Now there is an organisation that can help you Live Your Dream.....
SPICE was set up over twenty years ago, to cater for members who are ordinary everyday people....but want to do extraordinary things in their spare time. Things like WHITE WATER RAFTING, FIRE EATING, HOT AIR BALLOONING, ABSEILING, TIGHT ROPE WALKING and many many more. In short, people who wanted to add a little SPICE to life, that extra magic ingredient. There are also the more usual activities - each month groups go off to the theatre, cinemas, wine tasting - or a look behind the scenes of a newspaper publishers, down the local sewers, driving buses on skid pans, wing walking, and the list goes on...
There are well over 10,000 'Spicers' and the numbers are growing each month, as more and more people hear about SPICE, either from friends or read about the exploits of its members in the Press. In fact Granada T.V. dedicated a half hour documentary to SPICE, and its viewers saw one inspiring old lady leaping out of an aircraft at 12000ft!!! So the Club is not only for the young! Its members are of all ages & professions and couple and family subscription is encouraged. Average age is in the 30's, but club policy is all ages, all comers - although there is a minimum age of 18!
SPICE U.K. is the parent company based in Manchester, and since its launch other towns have come under its banner, and now Spice is open ten UK cities. Each Office is run by Co-ordinators with many years experience in organising group adventure activities, and the monthly programme of Events is set up with the absolute beginner in mind.
During the year the members are invited to hundreds of SPICE Events in their town, to try things new, to achieve ambitions, make dreams come true and generally make life that little bit more amazing. All are fun, exciting, different, challenging. Most important - each activity has its own special instructor, highly qualified to teach even the basic techniques, so the members are sure to be in capable hands.
Members do not go on each trip - just the ones which interest them, although they soon discover its fun to try anything at least once, and through SPICE meet other people of all ages with the same positive outlook on life.
Every month a SPICE newsletter drops through the letter box to invite the members to the coming months Events and keep them up to date. The cost of the Events varies, from nothing to a few hundred pounds for the many holidays, but all are cheaper due to group discounts and economy savings. There is also an activity holiday programme - the club has fantastic adventure trips, including Rafting the Grand Canyon, Diving in Cuba, and to Egypt, Alps, Turkey, Amsterdam and Paris!
SPICE is the adventure/social group for people who want to get more out of life, more fun and friendship, more adventure and excitement - with members from all walks of life as varied as are people, all united in one common purpose of enjoying life to the full!
